Cynthia “Cynt” Marshall made history as the first Black woman CEO in NBA history when she transformed the Dallas Mavericks organization. After a distinguished 36-year career at AT&T in leadership roles focused on workplace culture and diversity, she founded Marshalling Resources, a consulting firm specializing in leadership and culture transformation. When hired as Mavericks CEO in 2018, she brought transparency, trust, and values-based leadership to an organization in crisis.
Marshall led the team that created a world-class diversity and inclusion culture at AT&T, landing the company in DiversityInc’s top 3 and placing AT&T on Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list.
